Is there a way to fix a broken heated mirror?

My drivers side mirror doesnt defrost the ice but the other side works perfectly.

NikFu: I suggest pressing your button numerous times. My cruise control didnt' work when I bought my car, but what happened is oxidation had formed over the switch contacts, so just keep pushing your foglight button on and off, eventually it should start to work.
