My bumper

Well, if I had the money right now, my request would be openings for dual intercoolers.... Oh yea and air flow for extra tranny cooler. But that will be a while

good

Looks cool to me. I like the aux lights ports in the drawing. Also the opening looks big enough for a nice massive intercooler.

My bumper preference

I still like these in my briefcase http://photos.yahoo.com/bc/svxcess?d...=fld16&.src=ph There is the option for cold air through the left duct and tranny cooling through the right one This was a one-off from some guy in Japan. I think many of you have already seen it

SVXtreme front bumper

If you like the photos of the front end in the post by SVXtreme above, here are a lot of photos of this front end being installed at this website http://www.asahi-net.or.jp/~wx7h-trj...ry/diary10.htm

Just my .02$ worth

Although I'm not in the market for a bumper right now (though that might change at some point in the future), I think the more rounded design, similar to the one in SVXtremes' drawing, or Svxcess' posting, looks better than the other one (in Svxcess' last posting). It protrudes a bit too much in front, and is a little too angular. The more rounded design, IMHO, is more in keeping with the overall styling of the SVX.

Just my opinion, and like I said, I'm not in the market for one right now anyway. But if I were, I'd want the rounder one.

Best Bumper Idea

http://photos.yahoo.com/bc/svxcess?d...=fld16&.src=ph

This is my favorite bumper. The others look OK but they are not functional. We need room for an oil cooler, tranny cooler and intercooler. This is the only "style" that will work. Does anyone know where we can purchase one of these? If not, why don't we get one made like we talked about before. I really need one to help finish my turbo modifications. I already have the oil and tranny cooler jammed between the radiator and the AC evaporator. I need more room! Plus I wanted to do a front mounted radiator for an air to water intercooler system. Its already designed, I just need to figure out a way to jam in a large radiator in the front of the car without making it look tacky. If you need a bumper to modify, I would be willing to donate mine for development in May when my WRX arrives.

Thumbs up Bumper Ideas

I had never seen the kit cdigerlando posted until now, but I have to agree with him that it is the most functional, and it's also rather attractive. I don't know how well it will match up with the rest of the car though. As far as I'm concerned, this is the best design so far.

On another note: cdigerlando, if you don't stop flaunting your new Imprezza WRX very soon, I am going to personally go to your house and relocate your turbocharger to a region that is more likely to fill you up with hot air than your SVX. Just kidding. (of course) One you get the car (please tell me it's blue w/gold wheels) please, please, please tell us all about how great and wonderful it is- even though we all know it isn't as good as the SVX.

WRX

Sorry to flaunt the WRX on an SVX site. It does have an X in it though, and it is a subaru. I am hoping that I will be able to modify the SVX to be faster than the WRX. Sorry to dissapoint you about the WRX. It is silver with silver wheels. I really liked the old model in blue, but the new model looked too dodge neonish for me in blue. I am matching my SVX silver/black. They will look great in the Garage.

So what are we waiting for?

OK. So now we have consensus. Why don't we just commission a bumper of this style. Although the other bumpers look good, I think the consensus bumper will be more practical for cooling devices and ram air intake. Good vote guys. Obviously everybody hear has a better understanding of what is necessary to intercool, oil cool, tranny cool, and ram air. I contacted Andy's autoparts who was going to do the original mods. They have not gotten back with me. Too bad we can't find out where the original bumper was made. Who found it? Chris? Where did you find this beauty? Lets go!!! My "other" car is almost here and I want to start immediately with engine/fuel management and intercooling of my SVX. I need to have this bumper in place.

Thanks to Rev Hard for his efforts with the hood. This will help keep my turbo, intercooler (future) and intake plenum cool. I will probably take off the nice looking plastic cover when I am driving to get maximum plenum cooling.

Lets Do it!!

Chuck

Chuck....

In due time my friend....

I plan on having them made. If, you plan on rushing into things with andys then go ahead. I wont.

Personally i set this poll up for a time period. At the end of the time I will have them made. Want to do it without me? Can you offer it for 350$ shipped? Then by all means go ahead.

The reason i am waiting is twofold, Many of the people who may want these just bought hoods. While $650 may be "spare change" for some, it isnt for others. Whats it gonna hurt if you have to wait bud? Be cool, hang out and enjoy the fact that things will get done. I want to be fair..........

Also I bet there are potential buyers who havent even seen the poll yet.. I'll make you a deal, lets just wait till a few days after the 'Grand Opening' of the site. OK?

PAUL!

Bumpers

Thats cool. I didn't know that you were working on having a bumper made. You know why I am in a rush (intercooler), but I will wait. Any idea who made the original? If its from Japan you can bet it would be more than $350.

I don't know if you got my e-mails, but I was asking about when you think the hoods will be coming in. I just need to warn the body shop so that they don't send it away when it gets there. I already told them to expect it, but they are busy and might forget. I would like to warn them again within a week of delivery. Please let me know.

Thanks
Chuck
