To remove or to leave on?

I have a decal over my bottom 2 defrosters on my back window, which used to not bother me but, now i've come to hate it...



Sooo, has any had any experience with the defrosters on the back windshield? Sadly the decal is on the inside and if i remove it more than likely the two defrosters it is covering will be damaged. I know i've seen other cars where when one defroster is out two others halfway up the window are thrown out cause they were connected somehow.

So, should i suck it up and leave it there in order to preserve the defroster...
Or, should i get rid of the ugly thing and make myself happy?
