Re: Parting Out '94 Red SVX LSi

Too much work needed to bring it back to great shape......rust underneath, exhaust system, rear brakelines, peeling clearcoat.

That is subjective to opinion.
Just saying.... and good shape is better than no shape.

Thats a 93 not a 94... The auto seatbelts and non split rear seat give it away.

Re: Parting Out '94 Red SVX LSi

First, what is the VIN. That will tell us the year.

Next, if the car is going to be parted out, I am interested in the radio cage and visors.

Re: Parting Out '94 Red SVX LSi

The build date is 3/93....So yes, it's a '93 and not '94. I'll see if I can change the title in the ad.

Re: Parting Out '94 Red SVX LSi

Yea, as I was saying in an earlier post... unless this car is completely totaled beyond repair, I don't see a reason in it being parted. I'm betting almost every SVX has rust under the car.... While I've got more $ tied up in mine that would allow another project, someone who has the passion and a little financial backing should pick this car up and try to restore it. All the other things (exhaust issues, clearcoat paint imperfections and brakelines which can be replaced fairly cheap.... seem like a minor hiccup to me).

Well, I guess it does have no engine now.... ghost in a shell.

Re: Parting Out '94 Red SVX LSi

Chasing chassis rust is not a "minor hiccup". It needs new tires as well.

This car will be parted out.

It's not going in a vanagon. However, a friend of mine just installed a vr6 into his bus.....it goes pretty well.
