I just picked up some of this stuff. Can i ask how well yours is holding up? I'm still on the fence because, clean mine looks pretty good. This seem like it is a no turning back option.

If you ever decided to use lacquer thinner to remove it, the silver paint would stay deep in the pits in the aluminum. It could ber undone, but it is easier to recoat if needed. And have you researched some brake caliper paint? Something that effectively resists high temperature?

They are too large to mount together, that is why I separated them. I haven't found any caliper paint that works long term without losing its gloss and durability.. Powdercoating is the way to go. That being said, I have used the same paint in the cast gray finish to replicate the OEM look on my calipers. Holds up extremely well without issues. Our calipers are just not pretty enough to draw attention to.

I painted the manifold today and it looks great, thanks for the info. I ordered silved cad paint fron eastwood for the fuel rails. I'll post the results. I also found that dough is great for masking fuel injector holes for painting. Only use it when the parts are off the engine. You don't want to get any in your engine!

Don't want to step on anybody's toes here, the other day I decided to clean the "remaining" hard sludge on the oven. Trying soap and rubbing... and I dunno what, I then decided to buy an oven cleaner. It worked like a miracle!
Now reading again this post, the same idea came to mind. Maybe we can use oven cleaner to do the calipers and manifold (even before paint for those who are interested in that spray)... Do you guys this it will work?

You don't see many vehicles that nice under the hood. Wonderful work. Also, some interesting visual on the Battery Hold-down. Can you tell us more about that, or is it previously posted?
