NEW 5mt Kit

I am putting together a NEW 5mt kit very soon. It will have all of the following

New 3.90 transmission (1000 miles) Bought it new and had it in the Dr SUS for a year and never really drove it
Used 3.90 LSD rear diff swapped over to accept SVX rear axles
Custom pedal assembly
New flywheel
New clutch kit with new bearings
New clutch cable
GroupN 5mt mount
Custom Shift linkage
Custom Shift linkage mount
Custom X-member for the transmission
Refurbished 5mt starter
Custom extended driveshaft with new universal joints
Custom solid rear diff bushings (durometer 80)
Extension for speed sensor (no extending the stock wires)
Plug in adaptor for the reverse lights and wiring for the neutral safety switch
Shift boot already attached to whatever wood grain you need
Black leather shift knob from a WRX

This will be a 100% assembled kit with everything you will need besides the SVX and the fluids. Only cutting you will need to do is routing the clutch cable through your car. Also, you will need to run some wires through the firewall for the reverse light and neutral safety switch but the wires and connectors will be included. Any questions feel free to ask in this thread.

Price: $4000+$300 core

Edit: This kit will come with a 3 year 30kmile warranty on all parts

The core is for your stock crossmember, torque bar, and pedal assembly.

Could we get this with preferably a USED 3.90, to cut the costs on the tranny, and eliminate the need for the rear diff replacement.

Or, get this with a USED 4.11, cutting the costs on the tranny?

I this kit, but Ouch, 4k plus core when I was hoping (with patience and bargain hunting) to spend just under 2k for all the parts on my swap.

What would we be lookin at for everything but the trans and diff? Since I'm on the opposite coast, prolly be cheaper to source the heavier stuff out here, even the drive shaft maybe, cuz I dunno what shipping a drive shaft would cost! That'd be one long azz box! I'm interested though since I want to swap mine to a 5 speed, but I don't want to have to fabricate a bunch of stuff and have it take a long time since my SVX is pretty much my daily driver.

I offer a kit that inlcudes all the fabbed pieces. minus the driveshaft is $800 but you need to source all other parts

Good luck. I got a hell of a deal on my trans (and free shipping) and it's still going to be about $2500.

Understad, everyone, that the "normal" kit we offer is essentially the pieces youd need to fabricate: the transmission crosmember, pedal assembly, shift linkage. Typically it is up to the purchaser to supply the transmissio, clutch, flyweel, ect. on their own. Theese kits are for sale any time, simply send tom, mike, or myself a message and we'll get what you need.

This offer, however, is a special one off with not only the fabricated parts, but all the parts youd normally ave to source yourself, AND they are new / refurbished...not found in a junkyard or somewhere on nasioc

just to clear up any confusion
-Eric

Re: NEW 5mt Kit

bump kit is back up for sale. Trans had about 1k miles put on it in the last year in the Dr SUS. While the car got beat up, the trans never did. Also changed the first post to change the FD gear ratio to 3.90.

Re: NEW 5mt Kit

If, heaven forbid, my Legacy GT were to go down... I would so-quickly be looking for a good late 94-95 SVX LSi and a manual conversion like this... (although to start with scratch, I might try to find a Legacy GT Spec B 6MT with VTD/no DCCD, 3.90 final drive iirc)

That would make for such a slick car.
