Stock alarm ?s
So my car didn't come with the stupid remote for the alarm. Is there supposed to be a switch or something in the driver's door lock that shuts the alarm off when you unlock the door with the key? Or am I supposed to have to put the key in the ignition and turn it on in order to disable the alarm?

Two different procedures
If the system was armed using the transmitter and the remote became lost or damaged, you need to do the emergency bypass procedure. The engine will not start otherwise. Emergency bypass procedure: ........Unlock and enter the car. The alarm will sound as soon as the door is opened. ........Securely close the door. ........Turn ON the parking light switch ........(The alarm will sound for two minutes) ........Start the engine ........Turn OFF the parking light switch. Arming and disarming the system with the key: ARMING ........Exit the car. ........Lock the door using the key ........The system will automatically arm 45 seconds after the last door or trunk is closed. ........Horn will beep once and parking lights will flash once to confirm arming. DISARMING ........Unlock door with key and enter car. ........When door is opened, a clicking sound will be heard signaling a 17 second countdown before the alarm will sound. ........Turn the ignition key to ON within this timeframe to disarm the system. .

lol I was gonna say, the only time my horn honks is if I open the trunk, or if I get in and don't turn the key on in time :-P I need a remote...

go to keylessride.com, and get the cheaper one. The round one looks kinda spiffy in the pics but i have it and it is obnoxious.
