Whatever that number is at the moment... I predict it to be quite a bit higher a year from now.

Hmmm...The only mod I've seen which is dyno proven to add HP to an N/A engine is that new intake. At the crank it's probably good for about 25 HP, putting a perfectly running SVX in the 255 crank HP ballpark. Plus cams, those fancy spacers, big exhaust, ECUTune chip, port/polish...I'd say you could see 270 crank N/A.

I think those dyno figures you saw already included modified cams, so it was not a true intake improvement measurement. Of course, maybe I read it wrong.

190-200whp is a plausible goal using the parts currently available and the knowledge too.

The car did have cams, but there was as dyno run without the intake before the run with the intake. The intake itself made a good improvement, but there is no evidence a car with stock cams will see as much of an improvement if any, though I am optimistic it will.

Of course there'll be more drivetrain loss with AWD than RWD or FWD. But switching the SVX to FWD or RWD would be silly. Yes you would get more torque. Yes you might see some more WHP. But you'd be giving up driveability. RWD more so than FWD.

I don't get why HP would be all that important for you, to the point of giving up the stability of the AWD. It's just a number. I'd rather gauge it on how well the car responds the way I want it to. And I can pretty much guarantee that switching the RWD would completely kill that notion.

depends on the cubic dollars you want to spend on it.

you want to spend the money to get a power peak at 9K rpm, you can get it.

Getting a power peak at high rpm = lots of HP

thats a large pile of money so... have fun.

You would need to figure about 25% parasitic loss with the 5mt so probably around 260crank hp.
