Ugh, SVX has the most complex cladding
I spent the evening trying to put all the side trim pieces back on my SVX. They had been off the car when I got it, so I never had a chance to see how it all goes together. I can say that w/o having taken it apart myself, it's like the jigsaw puzzle from hell.
Just wanted to grumble at some people as to how much of a pain in the butt it all is to put back together. Also, all of the weather stripping was all taken off, and in one big pile. So that has been fun, trying to figure out what piece goes where. But I seem to have gotten all but one figured out. I've got one side skirt left to put back on, and I've got to get some clips to put the other side back on properly. It's screwed on at the moment. But it's all worth it. The car's finally starting to look like a car again, not a partial-car. Hopefully I'll at least have it tacked on until the clips come in, so that I can get it washed/waxed, and snap a few pictures for everyone.

...its really not thast hard. Just took it off yesterday. Unscrew all the bolts at the bottom. for the front, thers PITA plastic clips (Buy replacements before hand). The rubber weather strip actually doubles as a long series o snap fittings, so start at the front and yank it all off. Wiggle the rear TOWARD the rear to free it from its keyslot. The rear cladding...the pita clips are easier, but theres a special trick. once the clips are out, and the bolts off, pulll the bottom out, and lift the whole thing UP. There's a hanging bracket thats fastened to the quarter panel underneath
As for the doors, there's a series of bolts that come undone, and a few pink clips that you squeeze and push through the hole. Easy as cake
