Little video with exhaust audio

Yeah... its a cell phone video, dont expect high... or medium quality, but hey it gives a decent idea of how the exhaust sounds with the Flowmaster

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X8K_DhOA5A0

PUMP YOUR VOLUME UP

No horrible resonance, deep ant throaty... 100% JDM engine sound

I promise I'll get a decent CamCorder Video.

Is the rest of the exhaust stock? It does sound pretty good. Does flowmaster actually make a muffler that has the same inlet/outlet as ours, or is it custom??

Yeah dude.... just wait to post stuff like that til you use the camcorder.

PS: I like your gauges, except for the center 'ball' of green. Can you black that part out?

Its the FlowMaster Series 80 for Camaros and Trans Ams

One inlet and one outlet on one side and one outlet on the other side.

I still have the stock cats and resonators, thats going to be the stage 2, remove cats and add a Y high flow cat, and remove the old resonators and put on a new one. Hopefully thats gonna make it a little louder and faster, my cats should be pretty clogged by now.

Its actually blue and it kinda helps to read the needle because of the contrast. Also covering it would make it look a bit ugly on daytime. hehehe I like it, but I deffinetly would like to improve it like in my Miata's gauges, they changed the Type and looked way better, on my SVXs gauges the Type is really plain. But still I like it better than the stock

I don't see how that ball would increase contrast, considerint the needle is lit up, and so is that big ball. Contrast= difference. And if there were no big balls of light in the center, you'd have MORE contrast between the gauge and the needle.

Contrast between the blue ball and the red needle??

I like it, it looks good. But I agree I wish it had a dimmer like my Miata's gauges.

You mean it didn't come with a dimmer? Weird. I've put electroluminescent gauges in other cars and they all came with dimmers.

But yeah, red and blue contrast= they're both lit up, so less contrast vs red needle and black background.

Too be fair, it was in a tunnel. I think an escort could sound cool in a tunnel. :P

I can hear the distinct SVX tone despite the garbage sound quality. Sounds nice.
Do agree about the tunnel, though.
Disagree about the Escort.

Hey the tunnel just amplifies the volume, but you can see as soon as I leave the tunnel the car still sounds the same.

So today I took another video, this time with a digital camera.... the video quality is better, the audio is not that good because I just discovered I was covering the mic with my finger....DUH!!

Has anyone tried removing just 1 of the pre cat silencers?

In theory it would give a sound similar to a JDM Scooby with the extra long un equal length downpipes and should avoid any resonance issues.

LOL. Now I know where you work. You're just south of Automotive Refinish Paint Supply and just west of the new 20th Street Auto location. I saw you at the Jay's Gyros the other day.

I'm watching you
