What fits in the Trunk ...

I'm shopping for an SVX and I have a question ... Will my Golf Bag fit in the trunk?

Sam

Not sure.
The back seat does fold down though.

Edit:
The useable Width of the SVX trunk is 50"
The useable Length of the SVX trunk is 35".
When you drop the back seat, you give yourself another 32" for a total of 67" long.
The useable Height in the trunk is 11" at it's lowest point.

I'm pretty sure the requirement to be a GT car is that it has to hold a bag of golf clubs straight across in the trunk, or maybe I am mistaken.

Mine does, but it's a smaller bag. I think that you could fit one standard size bag in the trunk. I'm sure you could fit two if you put the seat down.

With the seats down I can fit my MTB.

For AutoX, a double seater folding seat, EZ up, Plus tools and cooler.

I can't fit my Pelican Gun case with the seats up tho.

I would think they would fit. If the bag is an extra large one, maybe not. Good luck.

What fits in the trunk? Two 10" subwoofers in a box. And... uhm... that's about it...

Seriously, yes a set of golf clubs will fit in the trunk across the widest point (the very back), but it'll be a tight fit. At least, my set of clubs fits but it's been a while since I played.

However, since I have a semi-permanently attached plastic box on the rear right of the trunk for holding a small toolkit, air compressor and a few miscellanous bits and pieces I couldn't fit my clubs in there at the moment.

And for reference, if I were to carry more than one set of clubs I'd probably put one side of the rear seat down and put them both there. Oh, and I wouldn't have my two 10" subs back there

I think they would fit. I have gotten several long objects in mine for work and havent found anything I cant fit one way or another. The only difficult thing is the car tends to make everything move around when you take off or turn (maybe thats my obsession with the power light? actually it does it no matter how gently i try to drive)

I can put a standard size golf bag in my trunk, plus a cooler. YOu should be fine, long as you don't have the bag from caddyshack.

My wife & I have gone on two week camping trips with tent, back country back packs, sleeping bags, coleman stove & lantern, camp fuel, large cooler, lawn chairs, a box of food plus a case of wine. (we did have to put down the rear seat) Did I mention the case of beer?

Yesterday I helped some friends at college haul a bunch of their stuff out of their dorm into an apartment... fridge in the passenger seat, suitcases and christmas tree in the trunk.

That trunk is really low.... it's wide enough and with the seats down it's long enough, but there just isn't much room heigh-wise...

I don't see why a golf bag wouldn't fit, though. Heck, my dad fits a golf bag into the trunk of his Capri XR2 and that's smaller than the SVX's!
