It sinks in.

Oh man I sold my car and im about to cry.

Well guys and gals, I greatly apreciate the help from this forum. I have loved owning a svx and being a part of this community, but i have passed the torch to audrey. She will now take care of my most prized possesion.

This forum is great and the svx is by far the best car ever.

hopefully one day when money permits i will attain another svx, until then, thanks for all the help and enjoy them svxes.

Sorry to see you sold it, but I am sure it will be a good home for it.

Yeah, what he said

Hey, I've sold SVX's twice... I'm still here!!! Of course, sticking around here had me jonesing for another one which then cost me money (and a plane ticket) about 4 years ago now... but I've not regretted a moment of it.

Ask me again in a few years, though and I may be cursing this club... but right now I have a beautiful 96 with two of this club's logos in the windshield

Well you know I'm thinking of selling mine. You could pick up a nice pearlie with a nearly new transmission under it. (Just ignore the pesky cracks in the radiator and the squeaky brakes)

Look on the bright side.

The SVX is still warm and cuddled within the fold and not cast out into the cold.

Audrey,

For goodness sake don't worry about the wheels. Many looking at the car will think they should be that way for streamlining, i.e. the car will go faster. Sure the idea is probably to provide a hoped for cooling of the brakes, but is it in fact truly affective?

Changing over the tyres will cost you and will not do them a favor. Tell the tyre kickers to think again, as your mod is intended and gives you more speed. Brakes are for the feint hearted. Be a rebel.

Seriously, it is not worth the effort. When I purchased my car the wheels were as yours are, and I certainly did nothing until I put on new tyres. Us experts can't be wrong.

Thats right Trevor! Im not fixing them until I do some other things anyways. The wheels are really not in good shape anyways but I just bought some seats so wheels will have to wait! Plus I told my husband FINALLY (after 3 weeks ) that I bought a very expensive dog and she will be flying in from Texas on the 19 or 20th of this month. I got up the nerve to tell him now im in the dog house (well kinda! ) ..so Im going to hold off on things like wheels and stuff for now! My new seats will be here Friday though, I cant wait!
