...unless Kitt was dismantled and all that was left was the red lights from the front.

Funny, they looked more impressive on the show.

I assume the dial controld how fast the lights flash from side to side kinda like some Christmas lights let you do.

You might want to check inside the clear panel below the front grill - you just might have 8 red lights in there

LOL, look at this picture.
I was looking at some pictures I took of the car a few minutes ago, and I noticed this. I had seen the things in the grille before but assumed they were normal. I'm going to have to go out and see if they work in a few minutes

Jeepers, You didn't notice this before? I have always thought of sequential leds for that cheezy waterfall grille. That or a little illumination and a goldfish, mebbe some plants and a bubbler.

Well like I said I noticed it when I first got the car but dismissed it as normal. This is still the only SVX I've seen in person

I'm not familiar with the Knight Rider show (before my time) but after doing some searches I see what the light bar is all about... I still need to go out and check to see if it works.

Well when did the show end? 86? I was born in 85 so I think I was a little bit younger than the show's target age range

The light bar works. The LEDs are amber, not red, and it looks like one of them is burnt out or something, only the left 7 LEDs light up.
