I agree. Heated seats rule.....my parents' Accord has heated leather, while my Avenger has unheated pleather- let me tell you, in the winter when your butt hits that seat, all the heat just goes right out of you.

the seats in my claret are about the worst i've seen and last month, i bought a complete set from another forum member. right now i don't have the time to install them and i am considering just taking my car in to a car seat place and having new surfaces installed with aftermarket heated seats. hubby'd probably take over the svx then. at least he wouldn't be wasting gas in the jeep. this may actually save us money.

i wanted to get a Pioneer AVIC-N1 in my next car, but maybe i'll wait and get this Clean Sweep and a little portable GPS unit (that i can use in both cars). there's aome nice ones out lately, with voice and big 5" touchscreen, 20G harddrives....i'll see what's out later this summer.

The thing which you can't beat about an '04 XT, is that unlike the '05 model (or any Legacy 2.5GT), you can upgrade to 300hp/300tq for ~$900 by getting a used STI ECU, STI TMIC & STI VF39 turbo. A Cobb Stage 1 STI accessport for $645 will then take you to 325hp (~250 whp) while keeping around town driveability! And as the XT weighs less than an STI & 2.5GT, and has shorter 4.44 gearing, say hello to the mid 12's for ~$1500.

Time to start a Chike is going to get an XT thread!

guy on LegacyGT.com got a base dyno run (stock - no mods) 211 whp 227 ft.lbs
with a dyno-tuned ECUtek reflash ONLY (no other mods), got 254 whp. and 286 ft. lbs.

besides, you're gonna change your mind 10 more times about what car you wanna get.

You're gonna need at least 280+whp on a *heavier* 5EAT 4.11 Legacy to keep with 250whp on a *lighter* 5spd 4.44 Forester XT.
