Hey 1997,

If I understood you right, the car is tuned with a chip.

A lot of us could be interested in such a chip.

What is it?

Who makes it?

What does it claim to improve?

Any other modifications that are done to support the chip changes [Such as a bottle of NOX?]?

What does it cost?

Where can we get one?

Any information would be welcome.

Joe

Wel.
I am the second(2) owner form the car.
The chip come in the car in 1997.
The chip come from your land usa.
I think so.
but here an link in austria.

www.powerchipgroup.com

But the chip bring only 5 to 15 hp (ps)
not realy much.

My car is very well-groomed, care, trimness, i think that makes it so fast ;-)

Cool

Thanks for the info, Holger.

You English is fine.

There was once a lot of discussion about how good these chips were. This was quite some time ago.

From memory, the general consensus was the chips were not worth the money because the manufacturer Subaru had already tuned the car so well, there was no room for improvement.

However, this has to be looked at in relation to capability also. Most stock SVX motors are only able to provide top speed in the region 145-150. I think most people will agree with that.

Your auto on the other hand seems to have proven capability of over 160, even if you dock 10% for measurement error.

This proves to me anyway that your car is definitely accessing all the horsepower available, so maybe your chip is making a good difference at the top end.

I am not really from the USA, I just tolerate them because they can speak a variant of English.
I'm from Ireland.

And as for well-groomed, you are close, but we would normally use the term "well fettled" when speaking of a car that is properly tuned up.

Hello Holger

Your SVX looks great. It is very nice.

The pictures you have are great also so.

Can you please answer a question for me?

I want to know very much.

How does the SVX compare to the Porsche and BMW at 270 Km/hr?

This would be your opinion of course.
