ABS Sensor DIY instructions?
I've never changed an ABS sensor before, but it sounds relatively easy. Are there any how-to instructions on how to do it, or is it as simple as unbolting it and putting in a new one?
Thanks

you didn't specify front or rear
Front Sensors
1. Disconnect front speed sensor located in engine compartment, then remove bolts which secure harness to bracket. Do not to damage pole piece located at tip of sensor during removal. 2. Remove disc brake caliper and rotor from housing. 3. Remove front driveshaft, housing, then hub assembly. 4. Remove tone wheel while removing hub from housing and assembly. 5. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following: a. Place a feeler gauge between speed sensors pole piece and tone wheels tooth face, adjust clearance between .028-.039 inch. b. After clearance is obtained tighten speed sensor to housing. Rear Sensors 1. Remove rear seat, disconnect rear speed sensor and remove sensor harness bracket from rear trailing link. 2. Remove backing plate from speed sensor, then remove tone wheel from housing and hub assembly. Do not damage pole piece of sensor and teeth of tone wheel during removal. 3. Reverse procedures to install, noting the following: a. Place a feeler gauge between speed sensors pole piece and tone wheels tooth face, adjust clearance to .020-.039 inch. b. After clearance is obtained tighten speed sensor to backing plate. |

Oh, sorry. It's the front. Guess I won't do it myself if you have to remove the drive shaft and hub.
