Work

As much time as we spend on here, it's amazing that we still have jobs

The "right sizing" axe has been going around the office today. So far, it has missed me. I'm a bit depressed. I may have to begin to curtail my involvement here.

Hmmm....bummer. I have been there....many a time. I'm yet to be one of the "people who got it"....but still sucks seeing your friends get it in the rear!

Hopefully they are compensating well.

4 letter word

Work. I love work. I could sit and watch it for hours....

-------------

Lady at Krogers..."Must be nice to have the summer off and get paid!"

Red-faced teacher..."Lady the only money I get during the summer is what has been taken out of my pay while school was in session!!" Fume...smoke..#$%&@

....now before I get back to the "honey-do" list (scroll, actually)...

what has the tail of the cur got to do with this? Tell the boss that this site makes your creative juices start flowing; bright ideas that translate into profitable enterprises. You meet the brightest people in a SVX ! (sorry Honda) Tell him (or her) that SVX is a top secret government project, that you are an undercover agent, and tell him to move away from your computer before he blows your cover....ect. etc. Don

"right sizing"

Not much in the world makes me angrier than seeing a company deplete its assets. It was a task I always dreaded. Deciding who stays and who goes. My goal has always been to not have more workers than absolutely necessary. When companies I work for ask "So, what you're saying is we won't need these people after we implement this program?". I always answer "No, you will *always* need people. You just won't need to hire as *many* people as your business grows".

I absolutely despise companies that casually hire and lay off workers.
