Sometime I forget how much I love my SVX

I been really bummed out lately about my SVX. It needs struts and the no strut option thread has me really down.
I found myself considering selling the SVX if there ends up being no strut options left by the time I can come up with the money to do them...
My SVX has been parked for the winter, I have a 2011 legacy as a daily driver. So its not like I take it out much anyways..

Well it was nice out tonight so I decided to take the SVX to the store.
When I walked out the store tonight, I looked over at my car and was like wow, I really love my SVX...
So I got my point and shoot out (samsung SL620) and snapped a couple pics so I could share:

The possible new suspension alternative thread gives me hope.

As long as there are imprezas and legacies, we will never be completely out of options. They can be adapted, just takes a bit of work.

Or,
while there are Koni's left,
I can still build you one of my suspension set up's for about $1500.00 installed.

Re: Sometime I forget how much I love my SVX

Doesn't anyone sleep anymore?

svxfiles
If I decided to do it tomorrow, how long of a wait time am I looking at before they can be installed?
I mean you booked pretty good with reading coming up?

I was really hoping to get the cash together for a tranny swap and the struts in one trip.. but if the koni are going to be gone..
Maybe I should just bite the bullet and do the struts and hope she can make the trip back and forth from CT twice...

The ride is pretty unforgiving right now on shot struts with these rubber bands I have wrapped around my 18's....

Nope.

I like that your car is untinted, and with the grey interior. Looks good in those pics being able to see it from outside the car. That is something I don't really like about my black one, it has the beige interior.

....
I have the QA1s here, and have the custom made aluminum strut tops here.
The problem is that the last three sets of koni's that I bought had rears that were unable to be adjusted, new out of the box.
So after a four month wait from Koni,
I had to repair them myself.

I have two projects (JADE! & another)before I can start, so, yes it would be after Reading.

Um, yeah, that is not sounding very good...
I mean if they are messed up out the box, and they wouldn't fix it...
Are they not lifetime warranty?

Can someone link me to the thread on how to use Impreza/Legacy struts and why that is not a better option?

I'm getting that feeling again...

Re: Sometime I forget how much I love my SVX

I feel your pain.

Spare a thought for those of us in Australia, where there are less than 250 SVX... Parts are easier to get for a DeLorean - a car never sold here from a car company that has been out of business for 30 years.

That looks great! I typically don't like black wheels, but those really work for me.

Your car looks amazing! Ebony is by far my favorite color. And the black & chrome rims really set it off.

When I put on my new wheels the other day I noticed my right front strut was leaking bad. Now i'm worried.
