I was thinking of getting a Forester one of these days... until I saw the pictures of the '06.

A 19 year old college student came to work part-time in our office recently, and we were talking about cars. More specifically, she was talking of what she'd like to replace her current ride, an Accord. My buddy and I asked what she (and her friends) think of Subarus:
"They're ugggggly!" Memo to Subaru: Get a clue. dcb |

Thats because the younger generation is into hondas because they make "cool" looking cars and their the "in" cars that everyone has. If alot of people bought subaru's then the trend would shift. I like my AWD tank

Hey, I liked the boxy, quirky looks of my '86 wagon (much better than the Impreza), and the '88 3-door variation of that bodystyle actually seemed racy in Mica Ruby with factory alloys. My '90 Legacy was, well... at least it was different. (And the SVX is simply stunning, in my eyes.) But let's face it: If you drive a Subaru of any vintage, it's pretty unlikely you'll hear anyone say, "That's a good looking car." And that's too bad. dcb |

The altezza tailights are hideous. I read they also changed gearing to get better mpg = might be slower. Ugh. Glad we have an '04.

I don't know what's wrong with the rest of the world but people in Alaska love Subarus.
The average response to a question "what do you think of Subarus?" would be replied by a young person with "What, the STi?". I ask people all the time. They are quirky but in person when you get up next to them, they are quite elegant. Compare that to an Evo. Ooh yeah it has a mean face, but look at it from any other angle and it's just a plain old sedan.
