Anyone have a bike rack?

Just wondering.... I did a search, and it seems that some people were having fitment problems... What bike rack do you have, and how much did it cost?

Thule and Yakima do not make racks for the SVX unfortunately.
Only one I have heard of is ROLA from Australia.
Internet search will pull up their site.

I think you need to yank apart some of your door frame to get it to clip on right. If I can find the special instructions which I downloaded I will put them in my locker for you to review.

Biz

ps. I think some Bike Line stores carry Rola. Check the site.

I have the Rola Roof rack and two bike attachments. I don't use the bike attachments anymore as the gf has a trailer hitch bike rack that is easier to use. If you get a Rola Roof rack and want two bike rack attachments cheap, let me know.

trunk bike rack

I have a "Hollywood" brand bike rack that is designed to fit over the spoiler. About $80 I think. Carries 2 biikes, a third if it's a child size bike.
Be careful to cover brake parts and pedals with cloth toward the inside, as freeway bumps can cause scratches.

(speaking from experience.)

Can't remember where I saw it, but I read that the SVX trunk is all fiberglass and that one should not use a trunk mounted rack.

I have a trunk mounted rack. The brand name is "Saris" and the model name is "Bones". When I stopped at one bike shop, they looked in their charts and told me that it wouldn't work on my car, and that no bike racks would. I then found it at another bike shop, and they had no indication that it was incompatible with an SVX. We tried it out, and it fit, so I bought it. I have to mention that I have a non-standard spoiler, but if anything this spoiler is higher than the standard ones. I've used it several times with no problem. It holds up to 3 bikes, but the max. I've hauled has been 2, and I usually only haul one. I hauled 2 on a trip into the mountains that was at least a couple hours each way. I just did a search on "Saris Bones". There's also a 2-bike version. The cheapest price I saw was about $80.
