If you force a straight cylinder through a curved tube, repeatedly, after a period of time, the cylinder retains the bent shape.

Let's see now...after some Googling...According to the dictionary of American slang, "bent" means angry or veering from the norm.

I believe the Brits refer to it as the opposite of straight, as in gay. Let's just say that I live in the good ol' U.S. of A.

CigarJohnny defines it as not being as severely twisted as Andy but still demented.

My apologies, Andy. No insult intended. Please forgive me.

It isn't the first time I've made a mistake of such proportions. I once told the director of a play in which I was performing, that, the next time she went back to Ireland, I'd like to hide away in one of her suitcases. She was a Scot. She almost whipped out a Kukri and slit my throat.

Again, my apologies. How should I classify you? A Guernsite?

As this is the "WORLD" Network, we have to be sensitive to our global neighbors, as I've proven by "misclassifying" one of our brothers, by making assumptions. I pray mercy, and swift, kind correction when I do make such slip-ups so I can beg pardon, and stand forever corrected.
