Svx Embroidered Hats/factory Replica

I have been working with the Queensboro Shirt Company to produce the SVX baseball hat that was available from Subaru. I took the measurements and location directly from one of the original hats (Harry Newman "newsvx") It was in the trunk of his red '97 when he bought it.

The Warm red rectangle is embroidered onto the black hat. The rectangle measures 4" across and 1 1/4" high. The lettering is embroidered in black over the red background. See the attachment, which is a scan of an actual embroidered logo they sent to me. The only change is the word SUBARU will be in a slightly heavier font.

The price of each hat is $17.00, with a minimum run of 12. before I go any further with this I need to guage interest (in light of the dismal showing of only 2 for ordering the Alcyone hood emblem). Queensboro does exquisite work and I have used them many times before.

If you are interested, email me at jhoffman@neors.cat.cc.md.us

Cool shirts?

I saw some interest at MWM. I can get the shirts going. I have attached the design on the hat:

I can put any colour I want on the design. What kind of shirts are you guys looking for? Poloshirts? Let me know what you want. Without the price of the shirt, the guy is charging me about 6 to put it on. I can change the size of the image.

I'd perfer a T-shirt maybe have the logo on the front and then list some specs about the car on the back with another larger logo on back also. That may be to expensive though. The Hat logo would be just fine on a shirt

With T-shirts, it will have to be a different process... humm... Randy? How did that Tee that you have on at MWM done? That might be the idea.

The same embroidered logo could go on a polo style shirt and the hat, both of which I think could sell. The tee shirt idea sound like it would be too busy, although it would certainly be less expensive but then SVX owners are not known for being cheap.

Shirts sound like the best idea. I think a simple design would be nice, create the aura of mystery that already surrounds the car. Having all the tech specs on the back would be neat too, but a little busy perhaps.

Thanks for undertaking this project!

T-shirts

Heh...I still have had the only meet so far that had t-shirts made for it.

'Pearlywhites' (I think) did the t-shirts for my Vermont meet last fall. I think his name was Tim. Mind...fuzzy.....

...who am I?

Possible T-Shirt Idea....

I like the mutil logo idea for the shirt. How about this idea...I personally would love it...but here is my thoughts.

I personally feel t-shirts look best VERY simple. Then they look more dressy, rather than cheap. Possibly white with ALL black logo's, or black with white logo's.

Looking AT (not wearing the shirt) the front should have a small logo on the right side. Wearing it, it would be at your left nipple.

I would really love to see the Alcyone horn's logo on there. I attached the good example of what I mean (just not the outer ring...just the silver part).

On the rear, I really love the lettering for for the logo for the site (the SVX section I mean)

How about a large lettered logo across the shoulder blade area with:
ALCYONE
S V X

With SVX being stretched to the required length of Alcyone, if that makes sense.

At the same token, I would love to see a polo shirt as well. Just embroider the Horn emblem in the same place as the t-shirt, voila. SVX wear!

That was a screen printed T and is the one cube, uh, pockets was speaking of.

One of these days, I'm going ot make what I consider to be my perfect idea of an SVX t-shirt: Long sleeved black, w/ a simple (about 2x3) SVX (sans "subaru") on the front left chest and the simple "swoosh" logo from the Japanese "flat six" stickers.

Yes, "Pearlywhites" (I've fuzzy on the real name too) did the Vermont Fall Foliage tour shirts along with a black w/simple standard SVX logo (white letters in red rectangle) T and Polo. I usually wear my black T-shirt on the first day of a meet, but decided to wear the VT meet shirt when I went to the MWM.

Opinon from the resident Jarhead,

I like both the t-shirt and polo shirt ideas. as well as the hat.

T-shirt should be SHORT sleeves, white or athletic grey.

Polo Shirt should be white with a logo over the left breast maybe something on the sleeve also.

Hat looks good.
