What did you expect? :P
Reading is only some 70 days away...therefore something bad must happen to your SVX. By having two, you have now multiplied your meet monster factor by at least 6 :P:P
Good to hear that things appear to be under control with this one (so far ) Hope you get them sorted out easily this time

Randy,
So sorry to hear of the misfortune. I hope it is repaired (to your satisfaction) really soon. But if you are not careful, they will total it out like my son's '94. Of course the impact was somewhat greater. Hang tough! Harry

[Meanwhile, this is adding to the list of things that must be done before Reading:
Body work done on "Patience" Diff work on "Patience" Tie Rod on ET Tail Pipe on ET (before tip drops off and goes careening down the highway) [/B][/QUOTE] You COULD rob Patience to pay Paul.. er...ET. Strip her of her ET needed parts, then send her off to a complete leisurely cosmetic make-over whilst you're doing the Reading thing. Just hi-calorie thought food. Ron.

Ranj, (I like that. It's how Barney said 'Anj'. )
So maybe you're looking for a third now, eh? Still one in the neighborhood. Nice, really straight panels all over it. And cheap. (Even has a sorta new trannie.)

Got it, Mike. Thank you. Thanks, all, for the encouragement (Except you, Steve -- Meet Monster x 6, indeed! That's a LOT of help. ) I'm about to call the adjuster and see what I'll need to do. Wish me luck.

Just think Randy - you will be the only one at the Reading Meet with a black over pearl claret! I know you want to be different than others, but to do it that way is a little much. We all know you are a little different anyway!
only trying to help!

The process has gone much quicker than I expected. The "Home Office" has already called and gave me a choice of two shops, or, I could choose my own (as long as I took it by their adjusters). Rental will be covered. Of course, it helps a lot that we both have the same insurance company.

Patience goes in to have her nose powdered today. 3-4 Days, and she'll be good as new. The guy I'm having do the work is highly respected by the insurance company, even though he is not on their "preferred" list. He has also come highly recommended by others. We'll see.
Meanwhile, the tranny saga continues. My wife contacted the tranny guy (not the same ones who re-built the tranny, initially -- they've had their chance) to ask about the estimate. He said that he forgot. Will figure an estimate and get back with us. The tail pipe finally flew off the Evil Twin this morning, on the way to work. Luckily, I salvaged it before an 18-wheeler smooshed it. So, the tip is intact. I may, however, see if the stock tips can be refitted. I've never been overly fond of the KC tips, but, I think the exhaust uses a larger pipe, and that the stock tips may be too small to fit -- we'll see. Just thought I'd update, not that anyone really cares.
