Visors alternatives

I've successfully broken off both visors. Are there any alternatives? Like from more common cars that just bolt in? or at least look factory?

Thanks

Wow. Most people just end up with them flopping down alll the time but here yours are broken off. Would you try a salvage yard?

I live in Ottawa, Ontario. Here, I'll save myself the trouble .... mmmm.... NOPE! no luck.
LOL

Seriously there is little or no chance of an SVX being remotely near a junk yard. Do any of you know any junkyards with grey SVX visors? I'll scoop em up!
Thanks

I think on some thread somewhere here someone mentioned buying an SVX in which the PO had replaced the floppy visor with one from a Ford.

He didn't specify a model or year, though.

It's tempting to just suck it up and order one, but $109 for a sun visor seems a little steep. My wife tells me to try velcro, but she's a little bit of a Philistine when it comes to cars.

That's funny, because the visors in my wife's Legacy started drooping, and she just slapped on a little Velcro to hold them up.

Unfortunately, the cold weather seems to have made hers brittle - the driver's visor snapped earlier this week. So I guess I'll have to find one at a local yard.

Bump. Any replacements from other cars? Proteges? Civics? Something more common?

Try this link:

http://www.subaruparts.com/diag/?mod...category=931-A

I remembered wrong - it's $100.42 for the passenger side, $113.23 for the driver's side. Subaruparts.com charges about $11 per visor for shipping.

I am a pessimistic optimistic. I think the worst is going to happen, that way when it does, i don't feel as bad, but if the best happens, i am twice as happy.

Hi

I think I am the person that mentioned the ford visor. I could be wrong. I know I was about to rip one off a grand cherokee once. As for velcroing the visor to the roof, take that off now.... The cloth on the roof is glued to the board underneath. when you velcro it, that will slowly come off and it will flop and will look like crap.

Kelli, if you find 2 complete sets down at the salvage, I'd love to have dibs on the second set, or even just the driver's side.

Thanking you profusely in advance . . . .
