As far as the posts here have reported, between 40K & 200K plus.

Depends on who's driving & how.

Ron.

I.Q.

Ron you old bugger as usual you have HIT THE NAIL ON THE HEAD.

Old fart from down under who needs a strong southerly to make contact.

P.S. Have Toyota used BUGGER in their TV advertisements up your way as they have down here ? Caused quite a stir and really got attention and is now accepted language.

I've got a 1992 the first trany went at 121,000 km. My SVX now has 277,000 km which mean the rebuilt one I had put in now has 156,000 km on it and (touch wood) still running great with no problems. regards dave

1992 SVX

First tranny went after 65,000 miles
second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth and tenth went after anywhere from 100 to 1000 miles each.

Eleventh tranny has been in since 98,000 and I now have 224,000 , so 126,000 miles so far on it and it still seems pretty strong.

I haven't heard them use it here, and even if they did I doubt there'd be much of an outcry, since few here attach the same meaning as you Commonwealth blokes. Plus, it's pretty similar to an American slang word that essentially means a particular form of nasal secretion.

I think it's safe to say that if they used the Yank equivalent of BUGGER the advert would never get on the air, but if it did, sales would suffer.
