I didn't have to lie very much because the test didn't ask the right questions. Should have been:

"How many firearms do you carry in your car?"
"Do you feel anger toward police that don't notice the fools on the highway?"
"Why is cornering so much more important than acceleration or braking?"
"When is road rage perfectly justified?"
"The last time you came close to death behind the wheel, how many lateral "Gs" were you pulling?"
"Are your friends willing to ride with you?"
"Did your neighbor's kid - the one with the rings and clips - ask YOU to teach him to drive?"

Firearm : 1
Anger towards police : Hell yeah and I openly complain (I once got a letter from the mayor's office saying sorry)
Corner : I always try to drift
Justified road rage: all the time -- The other idiot was a moron and I OWN the road
How many Gs? : I don't know but I remember turning 720 once.
Friends riding with me: Not unless they have to (and I am serious)
Neighbour's kid: I am too fast for them.

Oh, oh! I could be a saint. Yeah. That's the ticket. I'm a saint. Sure. And I, ahhh, I have several commendations from all the, ahh, the safe driving agencies, for superlative driving.

Gee, no officer. I never have had a ticket. But I've wanted to see what one looks like. I think those marks on my record happened when my car was stolen. Yeah. By Mario Andretti. In fact, it was a whole gang of Mario Andretti's . . .

I probably lied.
However, I am a different driver than I was years ago. No use competing these days anyhow, we all get there the same time.

Now if they ran a test for motorcycles!!!!. You can get to the front every time, and give rude gestures to everything except helicopters and spotter planes.

I drive about 3 hrs a day so I guess I am doing okay.
What gets me angry?
Bumper to bumper traffic, 15' to the front and rear and a car on the left side and one on the right. Everyone moving at about 70mph. I only get very ANGRY when the person next to me starts coming in my lane, I honk, they keep coming, I honk longer, they keep coming, I LAY ON THE HORN and they keep coming.

Some people do not belong behind the wheel of a car.
There asleep? They had to much of there anti-depressant? They don't care? They don't look? They can't hear? They can't see an SVX because it's lower than their SUV mirror? They think it's funny to force another car out of it's lane? They are really a Koala bear?

Then I have to get in front of them and wash my windows often because I realized the windows are really dirty. My windows always get dirty when this happens. And the SVX has a gallon reservoir.

Only 38!!! I must be getting old. Lucky then that the SVX is up for sale, better buy an Austin Metro 850.

Now Joe, I don't believe it for one moment, I have seen your driving!!!!! You only managed a low score because of your gearbox (transmission for all on the wrong side of the pond) probably not able to tailgate with all the slip.

Anger Low 9
Impatience Low 6
Competing Moderate 5

YOUR TOTAL SCORE is 30 out of a possible 120

Figures I would be one point off the average - lol
The results kinda reflect where I'm at when driving:
Anger.....I drive at night when there is hardly any traffic so I rarely get angry......No one to get angry with really
Impatience.....Once again it's kinda hard to be impatient with people who are nowhere close to you on a reletively empty highway
Competing.....With a SVX its kinda hard not to show the honda boys what they are missing out on - lol
Punishing: Ok this is my weak point. For the few cars i do have to drive around if they cannot be respectful I have no problem being a lil mean. If Im in the slow lane and someone comes up on my ass when the left lane is completely empty I do tend to get a lil nerved. I especially get nerved when they dont bother to signal when they do passs at the last moment(two feet off my bumper) I like to stay side by side then so they cannot come back into my lane - hehe I have also found that if you put the lighting stalk half way between low and high beams setting you can also keep the fogs on at the same time. Thats alot of brite light!!!

I like to think I am a nice driver when treated nicely.
1. I let people merge in front of me all the time. If possible I get in the other lane to give them more space.
2. I let others go first when arriving at a 4 way stop at the same time.
3. I drive around truck drivers all the time(3rd largest truck mecca in the U.S.)......I never cut them off and always make sure to be where they can see me at all times
4. I would rather cruise slowly than race to show off my SVX
5. I rarely do more than 5mph over the speed limit anymore(that trek to Lancaster being an exception - 55mph on 283 is way to slow)
6. I ALWAYS signal reguardless of if anyone is around me. I lke to let other know what Im doing before I do it!
7. Nevr give the finger to those who deserve it - I do give the whats up gesture to say 'learn how to drive' or 'do you have any clue as to what your doing?'
8. Knowing that they will do something stupid I try to give SUV driving cell phone using idiots as much room as possible
9. I clean my windows all the time. The better i can see what is around me the better I drive. These people who look like they have a film of tint because of all the dirt really disturb me. HOw can they see to drive?!?!?!?!

You bet your donkey!!

A mean thing to say about my driving, but totally true. When I had all four forward ratios going, there was more gravel in my spit.

Man, I miss that second gear!!. Don't care if I never get top back, it was too wimpy at anything below 110, too high, way too high. If I bought the SVX for good gas mileage, I would have put in a turbodiesel transplant by now.

What the SVX needs to cut it on the roads is a lower final drive and 150 to 200 more lbs/ft of torque between 2 and 4 K. Bring on those nice supercharger people.

BTW, Mazda's 2.5 litre V6 supercharged Miller cycle engine from the Xedos 9 pumps 210 horse in standard trim, don't know the torque figure. Make the ccs equivalent to our 3.3 you are looking at output equivalent of 280 hp as opposed to our 230. Nice and healthy tune, eh??

Joe

I got a 27, had to definately agree that I like to stomp on my brake sometimes when I get some jerk 3" from my rear bumper. Never had someone hit me yet, but also never had that fool follow me after that one.

I agree though, they need a bike test. After getting 2-3 woman driven SUV's (yes sexist statement, but don't tell me its not true) change lanes into me per week, you tend to learn how to do a wheelie while flipping the bird to them.

Nvrmore,
that was truly a sexist statement, about which I'm not going to quarrel. However, I'm definitely female, and I definitely don't drive like a female, let alone a female in an SUV. Wait.... I drive a full-size Bronco when Penny's in the shop....
nevermind.......
