Are we obsessed?

My friends always tell me i'm so obsessed with svx's that it's unhealthy. Any of you ever get that?

Walked into a Midas today to get the AC recharged on the svx. The guy behind the desk says, "Wow - I ain't never seen one of those before. Sure is a good looking car."
I thanked him for the compliment and promptly took my baby out of there.

Even Kim understood why we rode around for another hour in the heat with no AC and the windows down looking for another place.

I told my best friend since junior high that I just bought an svx, joined a discussion group, and am attending a meet in a couple weeks. He laughed and laughed then called me a geek. Then he said maybe he should get a cool car.

My wife shakes her head and giggles.

I don't know, I have owned my svx for a week and already have had numerous conversations with people asking about it. My students love it. "When can I drive it?" They want to know.

I don't know about these people who are obsessed....jeez...some of them chase them in traffic, collect pictures of them, make little shrines and offer incantations to the 4EAT transmissions gods.

As for me, I have my feet firmly planted....

.........on Planet Alcyone!!! Home of the SVX deities!!

*covers himself in paint code 512, sticks a JDM bonnet badge on his forehead and runs into traffic*

I get compliments all the time. Sometimes having people "hover" around me on the freeway gets kind of creepy, but they just recognise and appreciate beauty. (The car, not me.)

My family thinks I'm nuts. My wife is understanding, but I let her drive it, so that helps.

BY the way, I get more looks and compliments in my red SVX than I ever did in my claret and green ones.

I call that the Fire Engine factor. People like red. It is a "strong" colour. All those Ferrari fans can't be wrong!

However, it is my least favoured colour in the SVX, probably because it is loud, and I like the car for its quietness and discretion. But that's just me, Subie Two, I am sure you like it and they do look more remarkable in red.

I have another sportscar [pics in my locker] which is red and draws attention. If I was respraying it, I would make it silver or very dark metallic blue.

A friend of mine who has a body shop is convinced ALL cars should be red. I humour him on this, knowing his weirdness. This man puts ketchup on tomatoes!!

yes, you do and look at how much have you posted. what are you doing there in the midnite of 3am? but me too.

yes, i was very very......too. but maybe i'm getting better. sometimes, getting too overboard in one thing is not good, right?

PS: i did have friends told me - hey, this car just looks square and normal. i didn't want to argue with them. i just told them...some of the things, it needs to take a while to discover the beauty. the more you look, the more you think it is....

PS: i did also have some frens told me - ohhhh...this car is very cooool...

PS: i also got an advice from my apt's old lady cleaner..she told me don't park your car there. some pple are jealous and don't like beautiful thing. did she see someone do something on my car....

If anyone does anything but compliment the looks of the SVX, ask what they drive and say, "Yeah I know what you mean, I'd rather be driving that. pspspspspspspspspspspspspspspspspsps." While lifting one of your legs of course.

me me me me, my sister tells me all the time that I am an SVX freek. My bro loves my car. He and me talk about it most of the time.
My tells me at least 5 times that I am obsessed with my SVX. But it's my fault. I talk about it all the time. She will be talking about something, and I will bring SVX in between. For example, If I am driving her honda, and someboday passes me. If we are having a conversation that time, I will just inturrupt her and "I wish I had my SVX." She would get so so mad at me with this. Sometimes she even says "you and your SVX, go away." But I know how to please her.

Okay wait..... obsessed, hmm.......

If I spend every minute that I am not sleeping, working, or in school either driving my SVX, or on SVX.net forums..... does that qualify?

Oh yeah, I was at a party last night.... I spent 7 hours in my car and only 3 at the party..... something must be wrong with me. or not.... what do you guys think?
