looking good ...

Tom, your garage's gonna connected to your house's basement? Less one wall to build = save cost?

Are you going to build a bar serve beers and liquors in the garage?
Is your garage going to have kitchen inside so you can cook puppy
meat, puppy sandwich, puppy hotdog?
Are you going to put a phone jack for internet or computer usage?
Are you going to put a restroom inside?
Is it going to be a heated garage?
.....etc
(so many questions, felt excited for ya haha)

I hope when I come by next time your garage will be done. I bet you're
not gonna stay overtime at your workplace anymore you may try to
go to work at least as possible....

Remember the vandalism and all the stupid policies changed? I recall
this idea was came out then and .....
I guess you're not the one gonna be happy... A lot of us your SVX
buddies, me and my SVXi and maybe my friends who have no SVXi...
I can do some marketing for ya in my town if you want hahaha

Wish your buiding process go smooth

Half of the garage will be for parking one of our cars -- connected to the house means we don't have to walk outside when the weather is bad.

I don't know about a bar, but there will be a full refrigerator in the basement.

Now that's just wrong....

NO, NO, NO!!!!! Then I'd never get him out of the garage! Seriously, if there is room, we may build a little "office" space in there. The basement already has a phone jack, we'll have to see about running it through the wall.
Quote:

Our basement sits too low for a conventional flush toilet (below the level of the septic tank), so probably not.

Is it going to be a heated garage?
Of course! I wouldn't make my sweetie sleep out in an unheated garage!

Thanks to all of you for your good wishes.

Sensitive! Here is a picture of my cat 'Buttercup' during my son's B-Day party. She would let anyone go upstairs (Good kitty). Nothing sensitive about her.

Back on Topic! I have to stop down there when the garage is all done.

LOL! Buttercup looks just like my cat David - beautiful black fur and those pretty greenish/yellow eyes! I'll have to take this thread further off topic when I get home tonight and post pics of the kitties Toddsbury and Tuckerton. They're so cute!!!

Unfortunately, the cats are all inside right now, probably chasing each other around and tearing up the house.

That means cleaning the litter box (at least) twice a day in the hopes that they will use it instead of the bath mat as they have been known to do. They like to "mark their territory" when they are in confined quarters.

I can't wait until the concrete is poured & dry!!!!!!!

Haven't heard yet. I guess it depends on the weather and availability of the concrete truck and work crew.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed it's today.

Hey Tom,

Good luck with the garage! I wish there were someone like you in my town where I could take my car for those things I can't do myself. I had to take the Evo in this morning to have a nail pulled from a tire and have the tire patched. Seems like there's no shop where I can trust the mech. I have to make sure they jack the car at a reasonable point. I have make sure they don't scratch up the rim. I have to make sure they balance the wheel to high spec. I have to make sure they torque the lug nuts to 80 ft-lbs rather than whatever their impact wrench is set to. I got two out of four this morning. They didn't balance the wheel very well, and they torqued the lug nuts to 120 ft-lbs when I walked into the office to pay the repair charge.

What's funny Mychailo is that I've had to get a patch put onto one of the original tires that came on my WRX shortly after getting the car. I found a nail stuck in the driver's side rear on the day I made my first trek to the dragstrip back in March. They balanced the wheel quite well, but over torqued my lug nuts and put a nice 1" scratch on the wheel...

Looking good Tom. Maybe I will have to take a long cruise down there at the end of the summer. Hey, we can always compare 4wd burnout marks right??

Young Tom, you are always welcome.
However I must insist that I've been burnt out longer than you.
