Oh boy, Sounds like I do need to get there early. I really don't think it could be that bad, It not like you were running NOS or anything

A headgasket is possible but we all know what burning antifreeze smells like

So you say it's running fine now? I don't know man
I hope we can figure it out in time!

Well my origonal thoughts on it seem to be truer than any other. I think the pass front injector got clogged up. Thus leaning that cylinder out causing detonation and burning a hole though my piston. this is now oil is leaking out into this cylinder which I am burning and leaking out of my exhaust. Not too happy with it but I will be picking up a Junk yard motor soon enough. The motor in the car will be put on the bench and preped for a stage 3 with the 2.2t pistons(gradual build). This will be equipt with the stage 3 S/C once a 6mt comes by my way. I know it sounds a little overzelious but it seems to be the best plan of action. Good thing I didn't buy the konis or else id be pretty screwed. I am not happy with this situation at all but I do believe it is the most proper plan of action for me to take.

Tom,

I am really sorry about your misfortune with your engine.
I'll see you tonight. Maybe I can cheer you up.

check all the plugs. i had a coil go bad and i replaced it and the plug. ran good for a day. little did i know my car still ran like piss. so i checked the other plugs and all 6 were shot even the one i just installed. so replaced all 6 and volia alls good. one bad plug can cause all to go bad trying to compinsate for each other. especially with a coil pack shot.

Have you done a compression check on the cylinder with the fouled plug?

sounds like a fried ring leaking oil into your cylinder. also knock could have burnt a hole into your piston. i would check all your injectors to make sure one isnt leaking.

edit, i should read before i post.

Well Jesse cam and took a glance at it today. He is thinking rings also. I can only imagine that one broke but I cannot tell until I take it apart. the #1 cylinder is the one giving me the problems. It has 150psi worth of compression checked the #3 and it has 210 worth of compression. I would say that there is definately a problem there. Anyway I am in the market for a junkyard motor for now and I will rebuild the motor in it as a gradual project.

Tom float an email to Rufus, I know he had a good motor a few months back he was willing to part with. Other person to check with would be Nubs but I'm not sure if he pops in much during his busy season. He's friends with a JY owner between Lancaster and Lebanon who has a 95.

I have an update for anyone who cares. Found quite a few SVX motors around here. I found 3 that I am actually interested in

1. Manheim PA 104k 30 day war. for $500
2. Brooklyn NY 90k 90 day war. for $600
3. Brooklyn NY 88k 90 day war. for $500

All of the engines have been run and are claimed to be in good condition. I may be making a trip up to NY for engine #3 next week. I need to crunch some #'s and see what I wanna do.

DON'T CALL THE PLACE IN MANHEIM!!! TELL ME WHAT IT IS FIRST. I used to work at MAA, still have some definate connections there. I probably can get it cheaper for ya. Is it J&D? If so that's the place that Nubs knows the owner of.
