Engine cleaning

Hey all,
Anyone have any ideas on a product to clean baked on coolant and radiator seal off of an intake? I've tried all the standard products and nothing works. I have a nice new radiator and my motor looks like poo-poo.

They sell this liquid called "goof-off" at home depot. It would be tedious, working a small area at a time, but it will work.

There's other brand names-> goo-be-gone, etc. What it's really made for is adhesive removal. Most are safe on everything but paint and plastic.

Significant Technical Input
Hint: goo-b-gone = WD-40, at least WD will do the same job. It acts as both a solvent and a surfactant (keeps goo from re-adhering.)

Rust stains can be cleaned with CLR, just be careful what you use it on and how strong - try a test spot (inconspicuous) first.

If you mean the intake manifold (Aluminum part) I use Bush Aluminum wash.

I have used Duro aluminum jelly with great success. You can brush it on to get it exactly where you want it and just hose it off. Your local hardware store should have it.

Easy-Off oven cleaner and a high-pressure hose, like at a do-it yourself car wash!
