Chameleon/Mystic paint job??

Has anyone ever thought of trying one of these paint schemes on their SVX??

I was talking to my buddy at the body shop today and was wondering how it would look??

Any ideas?

It would look like different colors depending what angle you looked at it.

My personal opinion is the chameleon paint is too much like an MTv Pimp My Ride thing

Having said that, I wish I could afford my own pimp paint job...it would be a two color scheme where it fades from one to another, i.e., silver up front, black in back fading/fogged in between. The color transition would be at an angle like "/" so the roof would be all silver, yet the black would extend on bottom up to near the front edge of the door.

I think you should paint it what you like & can afford - that's why mine is done in rock chip enhanced Ebony.

Matt... what happened to your typing/spelling skills??? i've noticed a recent down trend in readability of your posts the drunk ones are usually pretty funny though

I think the chameleon is a very personal preference paint...i, however dont' like it... I would love the paint that Lee described, however my dream paint job on my Rock chipped black (i can't even say ebony cause the previous owner had it maaco'd black.. looks like ass) would be an english racing green (or even slightly darker than that) with black metallic flecks. I think it would look awesome metallic black in every light except daylight. too bad i'm poor

general exaustion!!! i dont drink anymore so the 'drunk posts' you are refering to are probbably old. because of school i only get to check my email, when i first wake up (like right now) or after my studying. (last night). not to mention that each day seems to get longer and longer (yes this is true but thats not what im talking about)

but reguardless, i stand by my opinion that a car that was illumanesent, not unlike the disney classic tron, would be cool. in effect the car would GLOW LIKE TRON. and at the end of the day, isn't that what it's all about? if not glow like tron atleast a dragon ball z super sayun glow. come on people.

but i digress. id i had $$ to blow. i imagine that i would go with some sort of fade (not to be confused with fayud from the movie dune played by sting). like the car is going through re-entry and the front is all kinds of hot.

I think that chameleon paint might look ok depending on what color the interior of the car is. That said, the problem with using this paint would be matching the color when you get scratches, unless the paint shop gives you a bucket full of the paint they used to paint the car, you will never get a good match.

edit: I agree with Matt, if you could get it to glow like Tron it would look cool!

actually i believe something about the paint makes it such that you cannot ever just fix a scratch or chip.. something about the paint has ions so that when it drys all the molecules are in the same direction or something crazy like that....

and matt.. i know exactly what you mean... i've started sleeping for about 2-3 hours twice a day because of how much crap i have to get done... really starting to get to me though.
