So sorry to hear your news, Midnight. What sucks the most is seeing it coming and knowing it is going to happen.

Only thing closest to that that's happened to me is the time I was stopped at a light, while driving my less than one year old Trooper at the time, and watching some jag-off in his S-10 fly around the corner. While I watch him round the corner, his brand new, still in the box, $3000 Mitsubishi 35" TV rolls over the side of the truck bed, hits the ground and proceeds to head directly for me. People in front of me and people behind me and no where to run and nothing to do but sit there and wait for impact. Some of life's moments really suck. Luckily for me it only smashed in my front fender and part of the door. Paint never did match perfectly after that. So much for new-car virginity.

Some pickup truck drivers really do suck. Best of luck with repairs. I am glad your body guy says it can be fixed. Don't settle for less.

Johnny
That sucks, but you should have gotten to keep the TV

to be honest

I doubt the car would ever be the same....Pass Side anyway.
also doubt that door would ever close the same
or properly seal so you wont get a ton of wind noise.
The Svx is so quite and well sealed from the factory
its hard to get it back the same.

I would have to agree with Motorsport-SVX just see how much you can get for the replacement value of your car and go shopping. A wrecked car with a bent frame=salvaged=no good. Not to mention it will not track right and wear out tires in funny ways.

hick boy had some huge ass bumper on his pos and his
truck barely got a scratch?
large bumpers (and trucks....hhmm....) usually trying to compensate for something small
...sad.

I dissagree, if fixed right, it should be fine...

If the frame or roofline of a car is bent in any way from an accident, it is next to impossible for it to be 'fixed right'. Body shops generally do great jobs - but they can't perform miracles.

just an update,

the adjuster should be coming by this afternoon or early this morning, we've found another larger dent in the lower quater panel, right by the tires, so there is even more money for his insurance company to pay for, well, hopefully this adjuster will see the damage good. thanks to everyone for their help!

Ouch! Sorry to hear your car is totalled... See it for the best, now you get to go SVX hunting again!

What's your price range for getting an SVX? Any preference to any year or color?

I'm sure someone here could help you find another!

we are going to be asking at least $6,500 for it.
otherwise, they might as well fix it is my arguement.
anyway, i'm going to look for another SVVX, preferably a black one, but other cars i'm looking for include Mitsubishi 3000GTs, and an AWD Subaru Impreza coupe. thanks again for everyone's support!

I am a pessimistic optimistic. I think the worst is going to happen, that way when it does, i don't feel as bad, but if the best happens, i am twice as happy.

been a while since i upsated everyone on this... But anyway, turns out that the Frame was NOT damaged, and all I needed was a new door, until the adjuster tried to open the door and cased a dent in the 1/4 panel. But the SVX is currently in the shop right now, everything worked out good, new door, fixed panel, and a brand new paint job are on the way. I should be getting her back this wednesday!!!
