I was telling my mother about your car at breakfast this morning (we always go with Mom to breakfast on sundays) I thought it was 10000 miles but I wasn't sure and here it is.... I am sooooo jealous, but I only have 100,000 more

when it sells, i will start my search. if you hadn't noticed, i picked up a geo prizm last night!

My friends and I always call them Goe Jizms...

Why did you buy a Geo? Just for something to tool around in?
I bought a 1984 Subaru GL about 5 years ago and I drive her "Helga" most of the time. She has served me very well. She even pulls a 20' boat too...

I love that car...She has made me sooo much money too. But that is a story for another day!

until last december i had one. bought it new in 93 and put 191,000 miles on it in 10.5 years. it was the most reliable car i've ever owned. when i sold it, i kept the optional alloy wheels. i regretted selling it, but we didn't need five cars. we realized that we liked the prizm more than the impreza, so i found one for cheap and made the move. if i can sell it for $9000, i will net $8000 in the downsize.

You are not kidding about reliability... THe old GL through the loyal never seemed to break down. talking about miles though I guess I just don't drive enough. Helga only has 197,000 miles but I never even change the oil (never, not for 4 years has the oil even been change.) I have added about 1 quart per year too. About two years ago the clutch started slipping and ever since that time I jist figured I was not putting another cent into her. She was ready to retire...but she keeps going and I keep driving her.... I am starting to feel guilty about the lack of maintenance since she keeps struggling along but I am afraid she would go into shock if I do anything to her now!

we will do this with the prizm. we got it only so i can i sell the impreza to pay off all of my other bills to refinance the house. it was either this or put greenie into daily driver service.
