Hope to extend the streak

First a little history;
- Early November 2003 - Get my 92 (known issues include weak trans, bad tires and bearings)
- Replace tires and find out that all four rims are bent (two of which have cracks and require tubes)
- Now have four good/usable feet but a cracked/poorly patched brake line, now replaced with a SS line
- Weak transmission becomes a non-existent transmission
- Get an SOA reman transmission installed and the next day have to return it for a leaking trans line and check engine light
- Get it back again, and one of the rims will no longer hold pressure (even with a tube)
- Get ripped off by local junkyard and get a rim that ain't pretty, but it ain't cracked
- Two week old Reman Trans decides that I no longer need a 4th gear
- During a SIX week stay at the local dealer I get a new Reman Trans (under warranty) FR and RL Bearing, speed sensor and TCU

Prior to picking up "Princess" from the dealership last Thursday the 19th I have had the car for over three months, put less than 1,200 miles on it, and had never had her running for more than 3 consecutive days.

Since picking her up, I have driven for seven consecutive days , I have put over 600 miles on her and have forgiven her for all of the stress she has caused over the previous 3 months .

She still has some minor issues;
- Weak hood props
- A few oil leaks (it is a Soob after all)
- Warped rotors
- Cooling fan blades have come loose from the motor
- Rear window still has cheap and peeling tint
- Still has one cracked rim, but it is holding pressure
- The PO painted the center caps black????
- "Buzzing" exhaust system

btw; if anybody in eastern PA heard a loud knocking around 7:45 tonight, that was me breaking my knuckles on a stack of 2x12's down at the local lumberyard...

I'm glad it's finally working out.

I had a similar experience starting early in 03...driving home from Tampa (about a 4 hr drive) lost the water pump (so I had the belt & seals done - except he actually never did the seals, or did them wrong since it's leaking like crazy & he's now out of business, so no way to take it back for warranty).

few weeks later differential case cracks....then all in the first three months:

A/C compressor, ECU relating to A/C, TPS, left rear wheel bearing....since then...over 20K miles - it's only been gas - and of course oil (darn leaks). This doesn't count brakes or tires that I changed all around.

I figure it's like that old saying - that which doesn't kill us, makes us stronger - or something like that anyway.
