New Camera. New SVX pics
Here are some new test pics I've taken. The camera used is a 5.2M Olympus 5060 Wide Angle Camera. In addition to its excellent optics (and pixel rating), it also can take pictures in great detail up to 7/10ths of an inch! (check out the last photo).
I've been experimenting with some abstract pictures, so if you see the SVX out of focus, ... its on purpose. Enjoy. Arondale link--> www.arondale.com/xmas2003 |

Thanks for the comments. My dad has the older Olympus C-3000 now. The C-3000 is still an excellent camera. The Olympus 5060 Wide Angle camera took several days to adjust too. It has way more features and has excellent manual controls. It will hold the aperature open for about 4 seconds, which on a digital is not that bad.
I'm going on a 5 day hike in the Smoky Mountains from Jan 1-5, so I should have some great pics. I have a 512MB card, so it should last the week. My only gripe about the camera is that is uses a proprietary battery instead of AAs. I might have to fork out $60 for an extra one. Overall, I'd recommend this camera to anyone looking in its price range. This includes choosing it over the Canon G5...as I tested both extensively before deciding to go with the Olympus. Its a true performer with a wide range of performance features. Take care. arondale |

Those are nice photos, man. I bought my wife a simple point-and-shoot digital camera for Christmas. I figure someday I'll get a digital, but for now I can't afford one which compares to my SLR. Canon's new digital SLR gets very close, so it won't be long.
Have fun!

Nice pictures. The camera is great. Olympus seems to have one of the best cameras out there. Good luck.
