Memorial Day

I'd like to ask all SVXers out in SVXland to to say a prayer for all those that have served in the military, defending our country.

I also would like to thank all those SVXers who are now serving either overseas or in the USA.

Take care, and return safely.

Larry III

Memorial Day...

Well said, Larry!

So many in the USA do not realize that we are the most fortunate people on the planet!

Many before us have given their lives to preserve our GREAT American way of life! Fly the flag! Be proud! There is nothing wrong with patriotism!

As we enjoy our day off; take just a few minutes to pause and reflect how blessed we are!

Have a great Memorial day!

very well quoted...

America is the best because of the bravery in the hearts of the people in these states. we wouldn't be who we are and where we are without their devotion..God Bless America

I am a pessimistic optimistic. I think the worst is going to happen, that way when it does, i don't feel as bad, but if the best happens, i am twice as happy.

Kelli, Tom,

Over my professional career, I have spent time in Asia & South America. I can say from experience that there is no place like the good ole US of A. You can only appreciate this country if you live outside it for awhilw.

No one has mentioned your neighbor to the north. I realise most everyone is biased to choose the country they are from.

I like the fact that I don't own a gun (or any other weapon/self defence) and don't need to.

We mainly use the metric system (just like the rest of the world)

I don't have to yell/get angry at someone when something goes wrong and needs to be fixed (several occasions with my car with more than one location).

People here are much more relaxed and easier to communicate with. That's why some US based companies rely on Canadians to provide their support.

BTW - It's going to be reaching 30°C tomorrow (86°F) here in Winnipeg.

And thanks for the kind words Larry... although the one time I went to a grocery store early in the morning, in uniform after Sept. 11th and got a heart felt big smiled "Thank you" that really brought it home...

Memorial prayer

A very nice idea, but I have probably missed the day. Never mind, prayers have no sell by.

I have never been to the States, but since getting to know you guys it is now an ambition. I turn all my ambitions into reality. It is a genuine pleasure to see people so proud of their country, and what the defense wing represents. It wasn't always so. Any Vietnam vets driving SVX's?

Be proud of your people. Any nation founded on such an altruistic constitution has to go far.

Joe
