I Banged her til she broke..MY SVX that is..

I guess im the newest member of Broken Transmissions Anonymous, because today. After owning my car for about 3 months, i found out not only did my SVX eat my 3rd gear, but she tried to hide it in the torque converter..clever biotch aint she?

So the car is drivable, but no power mode, no aggressive accerlerating, its been stuck in honda mode now, it has to do a 8 second 0-60 or it shakes sooo hard, its kinda fun tho..haha...scares people driving next to it...it growls and humps the road....Im going to try for a Level 10 upgrade and rebuild, looking at like a few grand...good thing i dont want to eat next month...




It always seems to go this way, i buy a car, seems to be working fine, 3 months they either have some catastrophic failure or when im feeling sporty, i get them to catch fire.....least she didnt catch fire?

Ouch Dustin! What I'll say is this. You mentioned earlier that you were thinking about doing a 5 spd swap. If that is still in your plans for the future, now may be a good time to look into doing it rather than getting a 'bulletproof' Level 10 4EAT tranny...
