How cool is my mom?

A few years ago, my mom came to visit me in VT, in part to look at a car my friend was selling. She really didn't take to the car, and instead said, 'I want one of these, pointing at my SVX.

There just happened to be a black over claret '92 in the paper, and she bought it. She still has it and drives the car very little - it only has 50-some thousand miles on it.

This week, now, she bought herself a parts car. It's a '92 black over pearl with light damage to the body on every corner. The owner couldn't afford to repair it (and had no insurance), so she picked it up for a good deal.

How many of your moms have bought parts cars?

I've never gotten her to register on the site. She did donate to it at the 10th Anniversary meet, though.

When she has a problem with the car, she just calls me. If I don't know, I check the site.
