We know. We like to laugh at online ads which state otherwise.

Anyway, some Subaru models no longer (or never) available in the US had (have) inline 3- or 4-cylinder engines.

Often times, they are GM cars rebadged under Subaru though.

I thought the touring package consisted of a steering upgrade, heated mirrors, sunroof and leather seats and CD player/speaker upgrade, although the audio upgrade was an option for the LS. The spoiler was optional.

Mine is an ebony '92 LS with suede (escaline), nonpower seats, no sunroof, no heated mirrors, no vss steering, no spoiler and has the 6 speaker/CD player upgrade. I plan on getting the spoiler, and I would've liked the steering. The sunroof and leather would just irritate me.

There's always this helpful page for spec questions (or we could just poll people from each year):

You will love the steering once you are behind the wheel of the LS-L. It's a lot better than the car without one. I drove a 94L then when I bought my 92LSL it was like day and night. Also my 92 was not smoking so it helped.

I've driven a couple of LSLs, but one didn't have first gear and didn't like third so it probably wasn't a fair test. Can I drive yours?

I've got a 92 LS and my brother has a 92 LS-L, and I've got to say that I prefer the steering in my LS. His LS-L's steering just felt weird to me. But that's probably because I've been driving mine for over two years, and have only driven his on a couple of occasions.

The one thing I would like from an LS-L though is the heated mirrors.

Currently my SVX is people powered. People as in me. If I want that thing moved, I have to go out and push it. Sure you can drive it.

I think the wires are there. You just need the hardware to get it running.

How kind of you to offer to push while I drive.

I'll push it. Chances are it will not move though. The damn thing is really heavy.

Do all SVX have the tweeter grills in the dash regardless of whether they had the 6-speaker CD player option? Just curious because my LS has them (have not checked if they actually have tweeters in them) and I never thought to check other SVXs with LS package to see if they have them.

BTW...I do not have the factory CD player (for all you Captain Obvious' out there ). The previous owner installed a Pioner 6-cd player in the trunk and the controls are where the factory one would be. I always assumed the original died and was replaced.

Thanks Garg! I'll try not to hit anything.

I like the way leather looks, and the spill-resistance is nice, but it gets on my nerves when I'm wearing shorts or a short skirt. Not like that's much of a problem in Seattle weather. I'm not nuts about sunroofs because I hate having windows open when I drive. I was thrilled to find that the SVX had a "window lock" switch to keep my passengers from fiddling with them.
