Wood Grain

Just wondering, does the wood grain in the dash look the same for all models/years? (I know there was gray but I just want to know about the wood.) I'm about to bid on a cigarette lighter assembly from a 92 (don't know the model) and I was wondering if it would match the wood in my 94 LS. Thanks,
-Nathan

They changed it, I think it may have been in 96' but I could definately be wrong. I think 92' and 94' should be the same.

I don't know, but my woodgrain looks way more dull and dark than most peoples.

I think I've seen 2 colors, darker on 92 and lighter/more golden on a newer one.

Could the "wood" color depend on the seat color? Darker for the gray leather and lighter wood for the beige seats? If that was the case, all 92-94 would be the same (dark) and all 96-97 would be the same (light) and 95 would depend on the interior color.

I have a 100% Escaine interior in light tan, so would that mean I have the light colored wood (if there actually is a light and a dark)? Do you think any of the 92's had the light colored wood? BTW, Rob, what year is yours?

I know the woodgrain in the later models is more of a true rendition of a "burl" than the 92s. The 92 is more of a "mottled" dark on deep burgundy. Dunno if I can get a clear pic with my digital camera, but, if so, I'll post a lighter assembly pic for your judgement.

Didn't work. For some reason, my camera refuses to focus on close-ups.
