yup, my guess is it really never made it to the registered owner, with 148miles on it. Mind you, it really only takes about 148 mile to roll a car if you're talented.

The title shows the first owner as the insurance company, so I can only suspect that the car was never sold by the dealer, and was wrecked by an employee or by someone taking a test drive.
The guy who bought it from the insurance company stored it indoors for a couple of years, and then moved it outside, the interior either rotted (no glass to speak of in the car), or he sold it, last owner is not sure what happened. The car must have done a complete roll as the only body panel not beat up is the small panel where the antennae is, and the suspension is in pretty bad shape too, lots of bent stuff. Whatever the story, I have a brand new engine and tranny, and a lot of very slightly used parts from this car, and a fun project to work on for a month or two. |

maybe it was being transported and either it fell off the train, or the truck hauling it got into an accident.... Those are my guesses. If you ever find out what happened, I'd like to know. We should all make a poll of what we think happened and when the story is found (well, if), see who's right
