Front End Covers / Spark plug wires

Now that i have my new toy, i want to purchase a front end cover. So any info on what company makes the best, cost, etc. would be greatly appreciated. (I would like a Subaru one that says SVX on the front.)

Secondly I would also like to purchase a set of High Performance spark plug wires, I did some research and Kinetic Concepts seems to deal alot in SVX parts, would this be a good route to take.

Thanks for any info,
Paul

Paul,
You can go here to get your front end cover:
https://ssl.autocenter.net/webparts/...g_SVX_280.html

If this link takes you to the top of the page, just scroll down 'til you get to the covers. There's a hood cover and a full front end cover. They are both embossed with the SVX logo.

As for the "spark plug wires," they are not changeable . . . that is, unless you buy new coils ($$$$$$$). Your SVX is of the "coil over" design, which means that there is an individual coil for each of the six spark plugs. The wires go from the coil to the igniter. So, unlike other cars, you can't just change out the spark plug wires.

a bit more detail

Not that Aredubjay was wrong, I am just adding more information to the mix. In the case of spark plug wires: what Aredub was trying to portray was that there is one coil per plug and that no wire (spark plug wire) exists due to the design. The coils bolt directly on top of the plug eliminating the need for a spark plug wire. This means less loss and a hotter spark potential. The wires that ARE being refered to are just the powered and trigger wires that charge and control the coils. This is a low voltage side and I have nothing to find flaw in its design..... well except in the hassle and cuss words required to CHANGE the plugs. My $0.02

Chris
