What we use are SVX's for?

I'd like to do a poll. Just curious. I don't know how to set this up.....

I drive mine to work. Others, only weekends, others, only shows.

I don't know. I think most of us use the car day to day.

My daily driver as well. As much as I would like to keep the SVX in the garage during the week I don't see that happening any time soon. Plus, after driving the SVX to work everyday I would need to spend a pretty penny on a second car to keep me happy during the week.

I also am not exactly "vertically challenged" (6'3") and the SVX accommodates perfectly. I am marginally happy with the seats, they could be better. Last time I checked I believe it was around $1000 for seat cushion, leather, and headrest for the drivers side only.

Ya that's a common wish

To have two. One for show and one to drive. We should all be so lucky, but hey, what the fun in having such a wonderful driving car in the garage. I mean it's not like a Cobra or something. My co-worker has a kit and it's LOUD and rough. Oh, it's blazing fast too.

Mine's a pampered garage princess. I drive a beater to work. It makes me appreciate the SVX even more when I do drive it. I will eventually have it restored to showroom-new condition, and plan to keep it forever.

My SVX was a daily driver until recently. I still drive it to work some times, but the '85 'GL has taken on the commuting duty for mostly economical reasons. It doesn't eat premium and gets far better mileage.

Plus I really feel like I need to 'save' the SVX.

I use my SVX as my daily driver. You would be surprised at how many full supemarket bags can fit in the trunk. I also use the car for weekend cruising with "The Beautiful Naviguesser" in the passenger seat.

Larry III
PS: I'm bringing it in to my favorite dealer service dept. Sat. morn.
They will change the oil (I furnish the Mobil 1) and rotate the tires.

That's why some of us ride public transportation. But, if you really want a car to satisfy you, have Cobb Tuning build you a B4 Blitzen or Legacy GT STi

Really. Since I bought my SVX in Dec. of '99, these are the states I've driven it through (in chronological order):

MD, DC, VA, DE, NY, W.VA, PA, OH, IN, IL, MO, OK, TX, NM, AZ, NV, CA, HI, WA, ID, MT, WY, SD, MN, WI, CT, MA, NH, VT, NC, SC, GA, FL

Now that I live in an apartment building with a garage under it, I usually just drive the SVX on the weekends and occasionally in the evenings during the week. After all places it's taken me, I figure it deserves a break here 'n there. What an amazing car!

Smile weekend warrior

It seems that lately i just fix the things that I have been letting go for the past year.
I also wash it every weekend...dirty or not.
I have had the luxury of having a patrol/duty auto, so i never drive the svx....i miss the everyday fun of it!

Weekend Driver

I am lucky enough to have it as a weekend driver. It does make me appreciate the car much more. Some day it will be restored(?) to showroom finish with modifications. It will have a little interior and exterior work and it will be clean looking.
