I dont know if you can really fix it. There is a 'clutch adjustment' you can do, but I dont think that will do anything. Just push up on it when you open. Not too much work...

Hey mike - I'll bring my dremel to the 10th anniversary meet and we'll add a sunroof for you, ok?

My sunroof wouldn't open very good either. I had to push up on it to get it open, and reach back and mess with it to get it to close. I used silicone spray on the track and around the seals. It opens and closes with ease now. No problems at this time. This might work for you if it isn't the clutch or some other bad thing. Good luck.

There is a TSB that addresses the "sticking sunroof" -- it recommends doing exactly what Earl did. I, personally don't like to use spray for fear I'll get it everywhere (I'm a klutz), so, I use a product called sil-glide. It's a silicone lube in a tube. I bought my first tube at Autozone, but, they seem to have discontinued carrying it. Luckily, John Hoffman informed me that they carry it at NAPA stores, and is also available at the NAPA online store.

I have to push up a little too. It's no big deal though, just put your thumb on the button and use your finger to slightly push up as you push in the button. Nobody even noticed that i'm pushing up on it when i press the button.
