brake light question

I'm always driving my car, right? So I never see it from behind. Well, my brake warning light has been coming on once in a while for a few weeks. Always random, not a big thing. Anyway, I dropped her off today for a brake rotor change and I watched the mechanic drive her into the garage. I have 1, maybe 2 bulbs out on my middle brake light. Can anyone tell me how to replace it?

open the trunk and look up. There is a plastic panel that comes down. Open that and you can twist off the bulbs. The bulb number is 1175 if I recall correctly but do check in the manual

The center mounted stop light is an LED panel if I remember correctly. You can not just buy a replacement bulb at the car parts store. If you don't want to purchase a new assembly, you could try purchasing replacement LED's at Radio Shack and replace the elements yourself. Be warned though, while soldering is not an extremely difficult task, inexperienced hands can still do more damage than good.

Also, the Brake Warning light being on at the same time as a few elements of your center brake light being out is a coincidence. Most likely, the fluid was either low (because of worn pads) or the sensor was getting stuck. New pads and a brake system flush should take care of that little problem.
