Question ANy one with a K&N intake

Hey will does anyone have a K&N intake or any kind of intake that will fit on a 95 ls. Because I need something to make the car sound better also run better. You know what? If any one haves any mods that you think I need to help out the car just list it and where to get them.

I would go with the Green, that is what I use, and it is nice

then again, simply changing the filter won't provide much of a difference in HP or sound, you'd be better off working out a ram air system like SVXfiles or someone did

i put a k&n i mine, got it from autozone (they actually had one in stock!!!) i did notice it ran nicer, but i did not find any difference in the performance (power, sound etc) it just seemed to idle alot smoother and ran a little smoother. though this was direct to the stock intake filter replacement, not a cone filter or anything

Drop-in K&N Filter

My Drop-in K&N Filter did not change the sound at all. Though I do slightly get better gas mileage on the highway now that I have it. Real reason I bought it is because you never have to change it, you just have to clean it every 10,000 miles.

yeah i got mine because i needed a new filter anyway (could also have contributed to why it ran nicer after... almost liek the diff between the feel of the car at 91 octane and 93 octane...or after an oil change) and to get a filter thatll never need to be thrown away, itll pay for itself after 2 cleanings. though i paid in the $45 range

I actually got better mileage replacing my relatively clean K&N with a standard paper filter. It was nothing noticable. I could never get 35mpg (imp) with the K&N but I did with the replacement. That mileage is exactly the same as the best I had with the 4EAT. Basically the WRX 5MT will be equal to or improve mileage (depending on conditions) over the SVX 4EAT.

must be a 5 speed, because mine could never do better than 375miles per tank (i add about 15.6 gallons at a fillup) i average about 26mpg and i keep mine particualrly clean in the engine area (synthetic oils, 93 octaine ALWAYS, frequent trans and oil changes, mostly highway travel, keeping it around 60-70mph....aka 2100 rpm, etc), also i havethe fwd model so i dont have all that extra weight from the axl and differentials and stuff, and i have 83k on it. how you get 35 is baffeling

That's only 3mpg more than you. I got the same top mileage with both the WRX 5spd and the SVX 4EAT.
