i thought about a 5 speed but after itemizing everything i needed and the labor involved, it came up to about $3k if i'm lucky, but expected between $4k-$5k for parts and labor. to hell with it. $1500 for a rebuild and install works better for me. i can use the money for something better like skydiving certification or money towards and RS. other than getting a larger pipe from the headers to the Y resonator, i don't think i'm going to invest any more money into this car. i don't think there's any interest in my car especially if i add in the costs for a new tranny. no biggie. |

New Atlanta SVX'er
I'm new to the forum. I bought my Dad's SVX (1997, black, 70k miles) last August. Nice to see so many in town - how come I never see any on the road? I live in Lawrenceville and commute to Emory.

Hmm, how did I miss this the first time around?
Anyhow, I'm maybe a half hour south of town. Seen a couple other cars, one at the local Advance Auto Parts, another at some house up towards Snellville. I'm game for a meet sometime. |
