Tire Help

I need new tires, and I need them yesterday. But I am on a budget, so I cannot go with my Firehawk SZ50s as usual (all thats been on the car since I got it)... reccomendations? I am trying to keep the individual tire price around 100$

Nitto NT-450 Any experience with these?

Conti Extreme Contact I want these, but good luck finding them in stock...

others?

These tires proved to be the noisiest tires I've ever purchased (had them on two cars in two different sizes). Sounded like an impending bearing failure in both cars. I caould understand the noise in my SVX, but not in my then new VW Passat with less than 10K miles. Got rid of both sets long before the tread was worn out.

I've been very, very happy with the Dunlop D60-A2. I'm on my second set. Dunlop replaced the model with something else, but I think for the money they're a really good deal. Fantastic in rain and snow and pretty quiet.

Well, Thanks guys... I found a local place that was able to get me some of the ContiExtremeContacts in by Tuesday, and the price including install is $534.30. This seems pretty good to me, and thats what I went with...

my buddy has nittos on his car... there awesome.. my car has the bobo wanlis that came with the wheels. 619 shipped, mounted and balanced and log nuts. great deal... bad tires.. my stock rims have bridgestone potenzas on them.. i dont know if there what the cars originally came with but my bridgestones are brand new and i thought they were great. they'll be going back on soon since winter is coming around.

I have 4 Conti Exteme Contact tires on back order with Tire Rack since about mid July. The price will be $442- installed.

I called Continental USA today. They told me that they have already started shipping various sizes of the Extreme Contact tires. They expect to have our size, 225-50R16, to their dealers within the next 2 weeks .

I sure hope so.

My second choice is the Sumitomo HTR+

These are Ultra High Performance All-Season tires. They are slightly less expensive that the Conti Extreme Contact and Yoko AVS dBs on the Tire Rack and they have them in stock.
You live close to me so we experience the same road conditions.

Looks like you have already found some tires. But you or others might want to consider these:
Hankook Ventus K102

ZR
Passenger-Ultra High Performance

By the way these are 245/45/16's

I found them on www.victoriatire.com, and now I might just have to get a set of these babies!
