Caliper bushings?

Ok so i've had the damn stupid front end rattle forever. I've replaced a ton of stuff, tightened, re-tightened my caliper slide bolts. The damn thing still rattles like crazy, i'm pretty much positive it's the caliper. The bolts are definitely as tight as it gets. Are there bushings or something in there I can replace?

Re: Caliper bushings?

My Left front caliper used to clunk.
Mechanic said I needed new Lock Pin, sleeve, and rubber bushings.

Said lock pin is stripped from it being over tightened due to the rubber bushing thing being shot.

I could not find the Bushing available separately.
They are in the Disk Brake Seal Kit. (which is both sides).
Basically its all the rubber bits for your calipers.
Part you likely need is the #o5 in the Brake Seal Kit pictured below (10).

Here is a pic of the Caliper Seal Kit:

Part Numbers (subaruparts.com):
Disk Brake Seal Kit - 26297PA010 - $31.95
Lock Pin Sleeve - 26231AA010 - $15.81
Lock Pin - 26228AA050 - $7.48

Not sure if you will also need the lock pin and sleeve, so I included those part numbers.

Dont forget to check 1stsubaruparts.com also, they may be cheaper than subaruparts.com, depends on shipping.

Subaruparts.com has the diagram lookup sheets like posted above for basically the whole car, its very handy.
Here is the link to the part diagrams: http://www.subaruparts.com/diag/?model=2
You have to make an account with them to access these diagrams.

I am still chasing other clunks from the front end...
So far:

Next up, motor mounts and then fallowed by strut tower mounts....

Re: Caliper bushings?

I haven't looked in a month or two, but you used to be able to get rebuilt calipers loaded with ceramic pads for ~$50 at advanceautozone...

They're about $95 for a pair with about another $95 core charge added. Still a great deal if you ask me.

Re: Caliper bushings?

Autozone

linky as you asked

Also, just to add for people, it is a much better deal to get straight rear calipers rather than the loaded rear calipers.
about $195 +$95 core for loaded rears, and only about $38 for each +$47 unloaded rear caliper. Just for reference.
Can't beat a full set of rebuilt calipers plus front pads for about $170
