Water sitting in steel, esp, subaru steel isn't the wisest thing either!
So what should I be doing, then? Just leave it alone all winter?

I put it up for the winter.

Er, whoops. I guess not!

She's a real demon with the Blizzaks, though! It's fun to be one of very few people driving a "sports car" in the wintertime.

That's what they're recommending. Change the oil, let it sit on its suspension (if your worried about flat spotting then put on some old tires, keep the battery fully charged fill the tank with fresh gas and add a stablilzer then drive at least 10 miles to push it through the system. If longer than the winter add a teaspoon of oil to the plugs (good luck with that one!) Don't fret, I did the same thing the first year I stored mine. I'm not expecting starting it to be horrible as the engines on Subies tend to far outlast everything else on the car. Water in the exhaust is the big thing!
